If you are wanting to complete the event for fun, but still feel that a programme would help you get outside and actually get the training in then click on the link below and you will be taken to the Walker/Jogger Training Programme page. You will find the programme here, ready for you to print off and plaster all over the fridge! It is user friendly and suitable for people of all ages.
Walker Programme
If you would like a little more of a challenge, and can run for 10 minutes without stopping, this is a more suitable programme. The programme is based around a goal of completing the 7km event in 60 minutes or less. Click on the link below for a printable version of this programme.
Fun Runner Programme
If the event is going to be a more competitive affair for you, or if you have done a fair bit of running, then follow the link below and you will find an ideal programme. This is also user friendly, and adaptable so that you can make it fit in with the training time that you have. The programme is based around a goal of completing the event in 45 minutes or less.
Competitive Programme
For people who are looking to enter their first half marathon or need a little more direction in their training, this programme will help you add structure of your training and hopefully help you complete your first half marathon or improve your time from your last one.
Half Marathon Beginner Programme
Nutrition is an important aspect of any athletes lifestyle, and in order to perform it is in your best interests to watch your diet. If you fail to put the right fuel and nutrients into your body, it is unlikely that you will achieve your best result on the day. So now is the time to get your diet into shape for the big day!
