Wellington Round the Bays is the largest mass participation event in the lower North Island and the third-largest in New Zealand. This iconic community event has been going for 46 years, 23 of which have been organised by Nuku Ora (formally known as Sport Wellington).

Southern Cross Round the Bays is an event that is all about community. With options for everyone, it's a fun day out with on-course activations for the kids to enjoy and an easy flat course for those who are aiming to achieve a personal best time!
The team at Nuku Ora and over 350 volunteers support the successful delivery of the event; the event couldn't happen without the help of the wonderful volunteers! The proceeds from registrations supports the work that Nuku Ora does to increase physical activity and the wellbeing of people in the wider Wellington region.
